The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, answering phones, and performing general clerical work in support of Hospital patients and staff. This position must integrate company values into daily practice. - This position is PT with flexible morning and afternoon shifts.
NO WEEKENDS Essential Functions: - Greets visitors positively and professionally and maintains visitor registration logs.
- Directs patients and visitors to appropriate parties and answers basic questions.
- Answers telephone and correctly routes calls via phone or paging system.
- Performs general clerical and data entry duties.
- Ensures reception area is maintained and clean and provides a calm environment for visitors.
- Communicates with appropriate staff during emergency situations and drills.
- Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.
- Maintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization.
Minimum Job Requirements Minimum Education & Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of receptionist experience in healthcare setting preferred.
Required Licenses, Certifications, and/or Documentation: - Must maintain acceptable driving record, current driver's license, and insurability.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements Over the Course of a Shift: - A significant amount of sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Lifting/exerting of up to 25 lbs.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to hear overhead pages.
