The Journey Fashion Festival

The magic of fashion begins with the vision of transformation. Seeing the potential and beauty in an empty space and watch as it transforms into a circus of color, magic and beauty.

The Journey Fashion Festival at the Symphony Space in New York City was all of that; a production of beauty and elegance and unique talents. From the selection of diverse models, to the chill and creative vibes of the Makeup and Hair Artists AND the incredibly talented designers. Resort Wear, Lingerie, Sun Glasses, Music, Acrobatics, ….all celebrated collective and individual Journey’s under the guidance and grace of Malena Belafonte and her beautiful family.

EPN Fashion Week – 2019

EPN Fashion Week… Season 9

Maggie Delaney, the creator of EPN (Entrepreneurs Networking) fashion week, orchestrated a sold-out show at the Watson Hotel with a very impressive crowd of fashion elites.

The atmosphere was chic. The room was decorated with beautiful Artwork by artist Oksana Tanasiv featuring paintings of Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and Audrey Hepburn.

The show started with one of my favorite designers, Elizabeth Delgado whose Mexican inspired creations wowed the crowd. The elegant and sophisticated collection featured an array of black and white prints, white silks and the new exquisite red collection.

Following Elizabeth Delgado’s collection was great presentations from designers Martha Jackson and Daniel Chimowitz. Martha showcased her coats made from different fabrics and Daniel presented his painted/embroidered men’s and women’s jackets.

Opera Singer Erica Page gave the crowd a treat with two performances. In the first performance, Swedish designer Danielle Alexander designed a dress right on stage while Ms. Page sang; truly incredible.

The second half of the show featured designers Denise Hajjar’s Ready to Wear & Evening Wear collection and designers Mussa & Danielle Alexander, all of which were uniquely and gracefully presented. Truly an honor to be invited to such a special event. Many thanks to Maggie Delaney.

Proceeds from the show went to needy students who will receive free backpacks and school supplies.

Event at the Versace Mansion

We attended the Versace Fashion Show on Miami Beach where Malena Belafonte, the fashion show producer, greeted the crowd of approximately 200 guests with a sultry number. Following her opening, a diversity of beautiful models showcased Hungarian designer Eva Prokai’s colorful AMNESIA collection.

The presentation was alluring and voguish. The collection is free-spirited and creative with a confident and feminine elegance; looks ranging from casual to cocktail to resort like pieces. She started with a chic, flowing black and white collection and later merged with sassy and bright colored patterns. The finale garment, a powder blue/green flowing dress strategically worn by a model who knew how to sashay the garment well enough to get the audience excited. All of this took place under a crisp Miami sky in what felt like an art-deco palace, complete with a tiled fountain, in one Miami’s most loved hotels.

AMNESIA will be featured during New York Fashion Week in the Journey Fashion Festival on February 12th, 2019. Read and see more images in the December issues if I-Fashion Magazine.

Art Basel – Miami

It was actually my first time attending the Art Basel Untitled Art Show in South Beach, Miami and I was so happy I did. I witnessed an amazing collection of artists.

I’ve always had an underappreciated love for art. This show stimulated my creativity and enhanced my senses. It gave me the opportunity to slow down, ask questions to better understand the artists’ point of view and also instill my own meaning. I was most taken by art from the African Diaspora, as well as African American artists. On our second walkthrough, we had the opportunity to speak to some of the artists themselves and their curators.

Given our short time in Miami, we only had the opportunity to attend this one show, but from what I witnessed and read, the aim to increase diversity was alive @untitledart

Make sure you get the December issue if I-fashion Magazines to see more images and exclusive write-ups on some of the amazing artists
