Imagine a world without images. Imagine your favorite magazine, newspaper, or book without a captivating image. Most of us see the image as a “pull-in,” something that makes us want to take the next step and read about what we are looking at. In fashion photography, life is undeniably about the image first and the narrative next.  Here at i-Fashion, we have a selected group of photographers whose works tell a story within the images they present. Striving to become more than social media sensations, they experiment to reach another level of photo expression. Although taking a photo can be accomplished by your most novice photographer, it’s the mindset and creativity that separates the pros from the “guy with a camera.”

These recommended photographers have graced the pages of i-Fashion and many other magazines. Take a moment and look through their images and connect with their stories. Maybe you’ll be lucky to be involved with the magic they construct.

Karl M Lee

Dedicated the art of Photography, Karl is always pushing himself to the next level of his career. He has never been satisfied with the mundane and feels the need to have his audience understand his passion. And even if it’s not fully understood, it is respected. Often called the photographer’s photographer, his hard work & perseverance leaves no room for simplicity. This complex artist is still humble enough to teach every lighting or editing technique he knows to whoever is interested because he understands the art of photography is what you make of it and creating your own style is essential. Not one to stay comfortable for long, his style is constantly changing and with each of his elaborate shoots, he is always looking to create a series of images that will take the audience on a great photogenic adventure.

Mel Wright

Mel Wright is a seasoned photographer with a unique style. Mastering portraits and headshots, his creative eye and editing techniques are prodigious.  Mel is currently in the process of pushing his own limits and thinking outside his creative comfort zone by also tackling the world of video. His eye for both formats separates him from other photographers by helping him see the intended subjects in various forms. Mel’s contribution to the arts is not only advantageous to any media format but also to his peers for who he is humbly always willing to learn from.

Frank Rivers

Not only does Frank have experience in front of the camera, but his extensive experience behind the camera is also where his love is. Doing voice-overs for various corporate, video games, commercial and multi-million dollar productions, Frank understands the hard work that goes into capturing an image and the value of teamwork. After many years in the industry, Frank is always open to learning new things. “It’s about putting yourself out there and realizing that the world is changing and its imperative that you change or at least adjust with it,” said Frank. Like the rest of the i-Fashion Photographers, Frank is always trying to perfect his craft. Whether shooting in the studio or on location, Frank is also the perpetual observer. Making sure his clients feel comfortable on set and listening to what they want to accomplish is a priority.

Dennis Madigan

Known as the “Faithful” photographer, Dennis’ approach in the industry is calculated and precise. He is not the type of photographer to take an image, place it on social media and be satisfied with how many likes it gets. His expectations are much greater. He understands that his images are not only a reflection of his talent, but a reflection of all those involved to make that image come to life. He also understands that building relationships in this business is a way to move forward and test your skills outside of your comfort zone. Shooting New York’s Fashion Week may be considered an accomplishment to the average photographer, but Dennis understands that the runway image is a starting point of building long-lasting relationships with industry professionals. His calm and gentle stance makes him very easy to work with, but don’t be fooled… His expectations are stellar once he has you in front of the camera. His thirst for getting the right pose, in the right location, with the right model and putting all aspects of a shoot together is outstanding.
