Webster says, marriage is the legal or formal recognized union of two people. Now that may be true and sometimes that lasting union is not accomplished until multiple tries, but as long as you and your significant other are happy, go for it. I’m not here to tell you how to get a perfect mate or what circumstances will and will not work, that is not my expertise, but I will show how to look good on your special day by introducing you to some of my designer friends whose specialty is just that.
Whether you are trying to do this for the first time or crossing your fingers at number three, marriage is what two individuals make of it. My parents are pushing 53 years of marriage and doing it gracefully. No, things were not easy, but looking at them now, I can’t image what they would do without each other. It’s a blessing to see how they complement each other in so many ways.
Wedding designers Jewel Shannon and David Marsailles, have been designing wedding gowns for years. Their pieces have been worn by celebrities and socialites, but they still find joy in catering to the average consumer. Good to know people in bridal fashion houses. Model Rita Daryton has been out there doing her thing for some years now and had become a triple threat… modeling, make-up artist and stylist. And does each of them very well. She decided to finally share her thoughts on marriage, modeling, styling and keeping ahead on the industry that may have thrown her some curve balls.
As you know, our traveling photographer Dennis Madigan went to Brussels for a show by famed Designer / Producer Zaina Kaoutar Chaoui. The United Designer Fashion World Show (UDFW) was the first of it’s kind in Brussels, featuring designers from all over the world. Prior to the show, i-fashion was able to get permission from the mayor to do an exclusive photo shoot with Zania’s garments. The images came out WONDERFUL!
We will also take a look at various wedding styles from high-end designers Naeen Khan, Reem Acra, Viktor and Rolf as well as some pretty amazing ready to wear local shows.
